Redeye Empire is breaking out of Canada in 2010 with an international Rock- Reggae-Pop vibe. Their third studio album, Sea To Sky, is named for the highway that runs between Vancouver and Whistler, the hometowns of Gabe and Mike, Redeye's co-lead vocalists. The recent album release coincided with a US tour as sole support for G Love & Special Sauce, to legendary venues across the South and West Coast, including House of Blues New Orleans, Dallas, San Diego and Hollywood as well as the legendary Fillmore in San Francisco. Redeye Empire has grown a major fan base in Canada and the US and will continue to break new ground in a big way throughout 2010.
The breakthrough album 'Sea to Sky', was released on 29 Records, Jan. 26th. The 11 track album, produced and recorded by Ben Kaplan (Shakira, Chevelle, Biffy Clyro, Hedley) is the bands most sophisticated work to date, and was recorded at GGGarth Richardson's studio in Vancouver (Red Hot Chili Peppers, RATM, Nickelback).
Redeye Empire's live show is generating massive buzz and earning the respect of fans and industry alike. They have shared the stage with Slightly Stoopid, Fishbone, Pepper, G Love, Xavier Rudd, and Michael Franti & Spearhead, among others. Friends since high school, co-lead vocalists Gabe Davis and Mike Redmond put the band together in Vancouver, BC in 2005. While Sublime, Led Zeppelin and the Chili Peppers are sonic influences, Redeye Empire has emerged with an original vibe, style and sound that is their own.
In 2007 Redeye Empire toured the US in support of G.Love & Special Sauce, playing sold out shows in major US markets at venues like The Vic Theatre in Chicago, House of Blues Orlando and Stubbs BBQ in Austin Texas. Upon returning from the tour the guys immediately started working on their sophomore album with producers Chris D (Ben Harper, Jack Johnson, G.Love) and Ben Kaplan recording the follow up to their self-titled debut album. The album was released in early 2008 and is titled 'The Diary Of Everett Miley' in honour of their tour bus driver, a POW in Viet Nam with a hell of a story to tell.
In 2008 Redeye Empire completed a second US tour in support of 'The Diary Of Everett Miley'. They toured the US with Warped Tour headliners Pepper. Redeye Empire once again played to sold out and screaming crowds at venues such as Stubbs BBQ, House of Blues Dallas, Orlando and Myrtle Beach, from California to Connecticut. With a solid fanbase growing steadily in Canada and the US, 2010 is proving to be a big year for Redeye Empire!
Redeye Empire is Gabe Davis (Vocals/Guitars), Mike Redmond (Vocals/Guitars), Eric Stephenson (Bass), Andre Arsenault (Lead Guitar) and Ryan Davis (Drums).
